News, Thursday 7th May 2009

The final of the Alliance Française Joutes Oratoires took place yesterday at the National Library of Ireland. Finalists Mount Temple Comprehensive School and Alexandra College (both Dublin schools) debated the motion “Préserver le patrimoine est un luxe”. Mount Temple were the victors in what was a lively and very closely contested encounter. The Alliançe Francaise and the Ireland Fund of France sponsored the event, which is now in its nineteenth year.
