FRINGE
FESTIVAL
SEPTEMBER 9th - 24th
Festival.
Once again the Alliance Française
in Dublin is proud to be a sponsor of the Fringe
Festival.
The 2-week multi-Arts festival is now in its 12th year
and will be even more energy packed than usual this year with more venues, over 100 shows and an opportunity for audiences to throw themselves into a 16-day extravaganza of local and
international work. The five fingered line-up of Theatre, Dance,
Music, Live and Visual Arts is destined to amp up the city and be the
climax of this summer's festival season with everything from dancing at
cross-roads to flying boats, guided 'detours' of the city to opera in the pub.
Don't miss by the launching of the Festival with a very special fire installation upon the River Liffey by the French company
Carabosse.

hypnotic desert blues and sublime vocals with a nod to Kerouac and

MEDIATHEQUE
FRANCAISE
RE-OPENING
Unfortunately the
Mediatheque will not be in a position to open its doors at the same time as the rest of the Alliance Francaise.
The classical architectural details contained in the ceiling and in the friezes of the library necessitated extra care and attention during the renovation work. This additional time has been used by the Mediatheque staff to carry out a detailed stock-take of the more than
20,000 books, cd’s and dvd’s that make up the Mediatheque’s vast collection of resources.
The Mediatheque will open to members on Monday the 2nd of
October.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the delay.
Subscribers to the Mediatheque will have their membership extended by a further four months
to compensate for the closure during the renovations.
